What we do
Country-Codes.org has been online since 2013. We publish international dialing codes, US and Canadian area codes, phone number formats, time zones and practical calling guides for more than 200 countries and territories.
Our readers are mostly people in the United States who need to reach family abroad, travel for work, run a business with overseas customers, or check where an unknown number comes from.
Where our data comes from
Dialing codes and numbering rules are based on official sources. These include the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) E.164 assignments, the North American Numbering Plan Administrator (NANPA), and national telecom regulators. Country facts such as capitals, currencies and time zones are checked against official government and international references.
Numbering plans do change. New area codes are introduced and countries occasionally restructure their numbers. We review our pages regularly and correct errors as soon as they are reported.
