Reading a +678 number

• •Mobile if the digits after +678 start with 5, 70–77, 80, 82–87 or 89 (+678 59X XXXX).
• •Landlines start with an area code, for example +678 2XXXX for Port Vila, Shefa.
• •Local time: 7:28 AM in Port Vila right now.

• •Don't call back a number you don't recognize. One-ring scams hang up after a ring or two so you return the call, which can add a per-minute charge on top of an international rate.
• •Caller ID can be faked. The code shown is not proof of where the caller really is.
• •Real callers leave a message. If it matters, they'll text, email or leave a voicemail. Otherwise, block the number.
